Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate social responsibility is all about businesses playing their part in communities and giving back to society, and a big part of that is fundraising for worthy charities. Businesses, consumers and communities can and should thrive and grow together.
For many, corporate social responsibility (CSR) presents an opportunity for a business to strengthen relations with stakeholders at every level and has become an integral part of developing business strategies and partnerships.
As customers, employees and suppliers begin to place more value on corporate social responsibility initiatives, businesses have looked to CSR as a means of strengthening the company whilst contributing back to society.
When CSR is strategically considered with an effective strategy, it supports increasing company performance as well as generating a positive social impact.
BBX in the South West of England offers you many opportunities to support local charities and give directly to your community using your spare capacity through BBX.

In addition to strengthening your business’s reputation, another advantage of your business donating to charity is that the donation is eligible expenditure and tax-deductible. You can claim tax relief by deducting the value of your donation from your Company profits before you pay tax.
Donations can be in any of the following forms;
- Money including BBX payments
- Equipment or Stock
- Corporate sponsorship Payments
Qualifying donations need to be freely given, with nothing expected in return, and no benefit gained by donating.
Sponsorship payments do differ from donations as the Company does get something in return, advertising etc, but that is allowable.
As with other expenditures, your Company should keep receipts of donations given to assist your accountant when preparing your accounts.
So the only question left, is how much to do you want to donate each month and which charity do you want to support?
